I have shut down my old Wordpress blog and have moved the content to a new blogging platform based on VuePress (opens new window). VuePress is a static site generator based on Vue.js (opens new window).

The new blog has fewer features than the old one, but I think the trade-off is worth it. The biggest loss is the removal of the e-mail notification feature (although, I may be able to add it back in the future) and comments left on blog posts have been lost.

On the positive side, the site no longer has a server component (just generated static HTML), which makes it fast and easier to manage.

I have a few blog topics in the pipeline and look forward to finally writing and publishing them.
