Hi John, Pity about the rain! We were very lucky with the weather, and managed to stay dry despite the many grim forecasts. I had hoped to cycle the Loire this year. Maybe next? chris

Our party arrived in Frankfurt a few days after you left. After riding the Main upriver to Bamberg and then the Main-Donau Canal to the Danube, we trained to Ulm and then pretty much followed your route downriver (East). It sure was wet for us, but it was an unforgettable trip! Next year we are planning a trip along the Loire. Maybe we'll bump into one another some time.
