I’m working on v1.2 of the TrackMyTour iPhone application and website, and some big changes are coming.  Here is what you can look forward to:

  • A new and more visual “Add Waypoint” page (see below).
  • New tab bar icons (thanks to Glyphish).
  • Photo support.  You can now add photos to each waypoint.
  • Twitter integration.  Automatically have TrackMyTour “tweet” your new waypoints with a link to your map. (Follow TrackMyTour on Twitter)

The new release will also address a bug fix with the GPS accuracy after the iPhone comes out of sleep mode.

Below is a screenshot of the working “Add Waypoint” page, and on the dev server you can see how photo support may finally look.

  1. Hi Chris, love your app. We are heading to France soon and I was wondering when you will release v1.2 to allow upload of photos to waypoints??

  2. Hi Jennifer, I hope to have it released soon. I’m still testing the current version and fixing minor issues as they are found. Once I submit it (hopefully within the week) it’ll take about another week before Apple approves it for the App Store. Enjoy France! chris

To create code blocks or other preformatted text, indent by four spaces:

This will be displayed in a monospaced font. The first four
spaces will be stripped off, but all other whitespace
    will be preserved.

Markdown is turned off in code blocks:

To create not a block, but an inline code span, use backticks:

Here is some inline `code`.
